This was Wyrley's first game sporting their new kit in their first-choice colours of black and white stripes. But just like zebras in the jungle, the midfield and defence allowed the predatory Robert Ince from Redhouse - and cousin of recent Wolves acqusition Paul Ince - to get amongst them to put Redhouse one goal up within a minute of the start.
Wyrley were back on level terms within 4 minutes when the Redhouse keeper let a high hanging ball from Simon Casserley slip through his grasp and there was Wyrley's own predator in the shape of Jordan Clarke to help the ball over the line.
Within one more minute, Wyrley were ahead after the Redhouse keeper could only parry a fiercely struck shot from Jaffa from the edge of the penalty box to which Matthew Grendon did well to react to send the ball into the back of the Redhouse net.
Wyrley's first goal had come from a free kick following a foul on Matthew Anstey, and it was another foul on the same player that gave Wyrley another free kick that led to their third goal on ten minutes. Adam Nicholls' beautifully flighted ball caused mayhem in the Redhouse defence and in the ensuing goalmouth scramble it was Thomas Evans who reacted quickest to volley the ball home to make the score 1-3.
Redhouse had chances in the first half and showed themselves particularly dangerous from corners. On one occasion, Jason Dennerley headed off his own goal line, and Todd Wootton's pace was tested on more than one occasion by Redhouse's fast forward line. And it was a header at the far post from a corner that allowed Redhouse to reduce the deficit to 2-3 on 33 minutes.
Within two minutes Wyrley had regained a two-goal cushion to take into the half-time interval when Thomas Evans kept his composure to score his second goal of the game after being put through behind the Redhouse defence by Matthew Grendon following good work by Matthew Anstey in keeping possession under pressure in the middle of the field.
Half-time: Redhouse 2 - Wyrley 4
Wyrley had looked very impressive the first half and started the second in similar style when Jaffa scored his first and Wyrley's fifth within five minutes of the restart with an explosive shot after receiving an inch-perfect ball from Matthew Grendon.
Both sides had chances and Redhouse continued to look dangerous going forward. Nick Russell in the Wyrley goal had a relatively quiet game overall but was on hand to pull off a fine save to prevent a Redhouse goal midway through the second half. Adam Nicholls, Luke Brown and Luke Moseley worked extremely hard breaking up Redhouse's vanguard and Todd Wootton and Jason Dennerley rarely looked troubled in the heart of the Wyrley defence.
At the other end, Redhouse's defence continued to concede free kicks in dangerous areas but Wyrley were unable to add to their tally. Simon Casserley and then Edward Marrocco brought out good saves from the Redhouse keeper.
On 59 minutes, Wyrley had the chance to score their sixth of the game when they were awarded a penalty after Shaun Nicholls was needlessly pushed in the back. Shaun took the resulting spot kick but sent the ball sailing over the bar.
Shaun Nicholls, Edward Marrocco and Simon Casserley had other shots on target before Wyrley had the ball in the net from a corner, but the goal was disallowed after Jason Dennerley was ajudged to have fouled the Redhouse keeper.
Just when it looked as though there were to be no more goals, Jaffa got his second goal of the game and Wyrley's sixth when he linked up well with Jordan Clarke on the left on 72 minutes to make the score 2-6 to Wyrley.
