This was a game which full of incident in which Wyrley got themselves into a position to win the game but where their lack of confidence allowed the initiative to escape them.
For the first twenty minutes, Park Hill had the greater amount if possession, but Wyrley came increasingly into the game as the half wore on.
Despite Wyrley's growing confidence all over the pitch, they were unable to score at one end, and allowed their defences to be breached at the other end when Park Hill got their noses in front with a goal on 34 minutes.
At that point in the game, Park Hill had scored against the run of play as Wyrley put some excellent moves together to threaten the opposition goal.
On 25 minutes, a flowing move down the right involving Richard Bullock, Simon Casserley and Matthew Anstey almost brought its reward. Two chances then fell to Jaffa in quick succession around the half hour mark. The first of these was created by a header on from Matthew Anstey from which the Park Hill keeper did well to smother the ball as Jaffa lined up a shot. The second came after Thomas Evans and Matthew Anstey combined well to create an opening.
At the back, Todd Wootton had showed excellent composure in timing a tackle to perfection to prod the ball back to Mark Biddulph in the Wyrley goal.
Even after going behind, Wyrley continued to create chances. On 37 minutes, Edward Marrocco forced a corner after the Park Hill keeper had parried a Simon Casserley free-kick. Then just before half-time. Matthew Anstey shot over from close range.
Half-time: Park Hill 1 - Wyrley 0
Right at the start of the second half, Wyrley were given the perfect opportunity to put themselves in the driving seat when they were awarded a penalty in the opening minute when Matthew Anstey was held back when through on goal. From a well-struck Simon Casserley strike, the goalkeeper pulled off a heroic save low down close to the foot of his right-hand post.
However, Wyrley were to be given a second chance when from the resulting corner, Thomas Evans was clearly tripped inside the penalty area. The ensuing complaints from the Park Hill players earned one of them a red card and Jaffa stepped up to despatch the penalty kick and draw Wyrley level.
The dismissal of one of their players seemed to inspire Park Hill - while Wyrley found themselves guilty of complacency in not pressing home their advantage.
Within a few minutes of Wyrley's goal, Adam Nicholls had to be alert to clear off his own goal-line. Then Mark Biddulph did well to save a shot after Luke Moseley gave away possession.
Within ten minutes of the restart, Park Hill were in the lead again with a well-taken strike.
Wyrley continued to have chances but found the Park Hill keeper in outstanding form.
Jaffa had another shot saved; then Matthew Anstey put a chance over the bar. An Adam Nicholls free-kick caused Park Hill all sorts of problems, and Shaun Nicholls went close with a header.
Just when it looked as though Wyrley might on the brink of pulling themselves level, Park Hill belied their numerical disadvantage to put themselves further in front at 3-1.
From that point on, Park Hill were in the ascendency. Wyrley's attempts on goal became half-hearted and their defensive steel softened. As against Redhouse earlier in the season, Wyrley seemed incapable of pulling themselves up by their own bootstraps to beat 10-men having gone further behind.
Park Hill hit the post on 62 minutes, and went on to increase their lead with two further goals inside the last ten.
In the dying minutes, Park Hill were themselves awarded a penalty after Luke Moseley handled the ball on his own goal-line, thereby earning himself a booking in the process. However, it was the Park Hill goalkeeper who stepped up to take the spot-kick which he struck like a goal-kick to send the ball sailing over the bar.
